I do 3 sets every time, and I change the width of my grip each set. Wide/Medium/Close. The wider grip seems to place more emphasis on the biceps. Same with me for pull-ups. I alter grips on those too.

would there be a signficant weight gap between wide grip cable row and closer grip, chest supported, BB rows though?

Closer or neutral grip rows are better than wide grip rows. Wide grip rows are assuming wide grip=wide back but that's just not true. Rows aren't really for lats anyways, they are involved. But a close grip supinated pulldown works them way better.
