Yep, probably want som plant wire though. It’s cheap. Or supercrop instead.

Thank you I’ll try that

FleshLghtSwrdFight

Get the thicker stuff the thin stuff cuts into the plants Edit: this is what you're looking for. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NN3BPXY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_5M60CDHX6MKC7C5F7MXC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you !

Terptoad

Yes you are doing it right. Personally I would wait till there are leaves in between the nodes. There is nothing for the light to hit so it’s kinda pointless atm.

7505768710

I might hold of for now then, had a couple people telling me this so maybe I’ll wait until they grow properly

Terptoad

Yea wait a little bit so ur not causing stress for no reason. Then when you do start this is exactly how you do it. 💯

7505768710

Thanks darg

Momsolddildo

I bend mine soon as they come out the cloner then cut everything off but the best 6 or seven tops before they go into flower.

SolventlessDude

Looks fine brother. Good job so far

FleshLghtSwrdFight

Yep. Little tip. make sure to water before you tie down, especially when they're larger..you want the stems to have moisture so they're malleable. If they're thirsty they have a good chance of snapping.

7505768710

Great thank you

jwarnyc

Squeeze the stem and bend it 90 it won’t snap if squeeze it first

Hostellord

Bro that’s fucking smart as hell

7505768710

What is man?

Hostellord

Huh?

7505768710

As in what part of it is smart haha, thought I was doing this pretty poorly

Hostellord

Oh! The rubber band is really smart. It’s something fast and on hand

7505768710

Oh right haha thank you

7505768710

Yeh just used what I could find

macabrera

A recommendation: put your plant off-center, close to a side, wait until the plant has 5 nodes and then training really close to the ground. Use garden wire and open the grow branches for the buds. Open holes around your pot for easy management.

7505768710

Thank you - will do that next grow, probs shouldn’t risk breaking roots and stressing plant now right?

Nuclear_N

I would do it a little more gradual and probably a little taller. I just snapped a stem doing too much pulling. Plant lived actually did like a sideways bonsai kind of thing. I found my stems get red from being exposed to the light...like a sunburn when I pull them over too.

7505768710

Ok thanks man

CutoffThought

OP, look in my post history. I’m just a couple of weeks ahead of you. If you look at my previous posts, you’ll see exactly what to do with the training wire. In particular, it’s [this post here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/GrowBuddy/comments/ux9a3q/update_on_louise_i_hope_youre_all_as_happy_as_i_am/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) Your plant should bend over, and when you top it, it’ll start growing from the lower branches, until they have an equal canopy. Hope this helps! Keep us updated on the grow!

7505768710

Thank you man I’ll check that out!

BayouDisaster

No, DDT the plant. Pick it up, put it in a hate lock, slam that bitch on the ground and then kiss it.

Q_indaloft

If you put the loop just the other side of the leaves then the top will be able to bend upwards easier.

7505768710

What do you mean by other side?

Q_indaloft

Below where the 2 leaves are further down

Training Wire Tip: Training wire going through 1" pieces of aquarium tubing can help minimize damage to stalk or stems. Got this from a Grow Vet and it works very well.
