What do you wish you knew about babies before having one?

What do you wish you knew about babies before having one?

RattyRhino

So much repetition.

Dooty_Shirker

You don't like watching the same movie 100 times in a row?

RattyRhino

I was thinking more of the feed, diaper, sleep, repeat stage. The movie stage is more tolerable.

Panther-city-son13

It is constant and there’s not a lot of down time.

TheWildTofuHunter

You’ve said it so succinctly but it’s mind numbing. Sleep (barely), exercise, family prep, work work work, family time, dinner, work, sleep, repeat. On weekends trade out chores and events for work but same deal.

Panther-city-son13

Yeah what’s the saying about parenting? good health, good work or good family but you can only pick 2?

cynical-mage

One size doesn't fit all; what works for one is probably highly unlikely to work for the next!

gaypanic101_

i don’t have a baby, but when i was six my mum had my first sibling. i was so pumped to be a big sister and look after this tiny baby, until the first nappy change. oh my god. and it’s constant too. it’s true when people say all babies do is eat, sleep and poo.

TimeTraveler3056

I love love love being a Mommy but boy does it hurt birthing a baby.

7-billion-and-1

There’s no break in between.

It’s a strange thing. Logically you know you’re growing a human. But then they hand you said human and holy crap. Especially with the first, you know nothing.
