Because someone who claims to be a collector for 50 years is selling this for $800 and says it's a Afrika Korps tropical gas mask lol
Both the filter and the carrier canister are German made. It is clearly a mashup kit, someone tought that the M/34 (or M-34, both are correct) is a GM30 and made this kit.

Yes it looks to be a Norwegian mask lite the others have already pointed out. But... is that a German canister? Looks like the ones for gm30.

It is usually around 20-80€ afaik. So an average of 50€ probably.
