Soooo.... their logoc is: If police officers don't have the body cam running, they automatically plan to do criminal stuff, but when the “peaceful protesters“ destroy means of observation then... what?

hatmadeofass

You're operating on the assumption that logic plays into their thought process.

AndrejK_GER

Another fun fact: it is a misdemeanor in Germany to posess protective gear or any items that could be used as weapons during a demonstration/protest. It, of course, doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but one can be searched, excluded from the demonstration/protest and charged for it in court (usually end up in a fine).

BobbyWasabiMk2

question about German laws; is there a charge or a fine for being disrespectful towards emergency services?

AndrejK_GER

There is a misdemeanor for slandering somebody (§ 185 StGB), including emeegency services. Ends up in a fine, usually.

I remember when Facebook was still fairly new and it was only available to people with a college email address. Students were posting pictures of themselves underage drinking, tearing down goalposts and vandalizing stuff not realizing that campus police also joined Facebook with their college provided .edu. They didn't realize the police were using Facebook to gather evidence until they went to court and saw their own pictures.

DiscipleOfDrone
