Does it actually work as a controller?

i think its mainly intended for creative work, but i cant see how it wouldn't work for games. something like GTA where many prefer WASD for walking but getting into a car and just using a joy stick might be kinda neat.

Yeah Ive known lots of people who've used a controller in their left and mouse in right.

The joystick is VIA compatible and the default is being used as a mouse. Don’t think that this can be used as a controller

That's a shame. This could have been a composite USB device that shows the computer a keyboard and a controller. Also, it's weird to have the buttons on the same side as the joystick.

USB can be daisy chained up to 127 devices using hubs so basically it'd be one USB cable showing up as two separate devices on your computer

It basically shows up as multiple devices. It's like it has a USB hub built inside of it and a keyboard and controller plugged into that.

Especially when they decided to use the blue/red combo like the Nintendo switch.
