would you kindly?
No, screw you
Why is the game called bioshock?
It is based on the name of the simulation world, Codename: Bioshock. The reason the simulation is called Bioshock? Because one of the scientists thought it sounded cool
That's bio-shocking information
It really was a bio-shocking reveal
I was bio-shocked when I found out
I was bio-shocked when I found out that everyone were actually the consciousness of thousands of real humans from outside the simulation downloaded into it. all exept for Adam, obviously
I was also bio-shocked when Adam came out as trans. Really supporting her!
I am also bio-shocked as I don't remember that happening in any of the games
Yes, it happened in the secret ending of bioshock 2. You have to beat the game without using your character's signature jetpack. I was very bio-shocked when I managed to do it
where does adam come from?
He is a self aware A.I inside of the simulation created by the scientists to test out there new super advanced A.I technology
Man, Adam sure is a nice guy
I know right? He's probably my favorite character within the simulation
A man chooses, a slave ____?
Never, because slavery has been banned
A slave never?
Yes, I think, uh... i don't really know where i was going with this
A slave obeys.
Do you trust the irish lad?
Nobody else trusts him, but I trust him
Nice Work Bio
Always thought it’s said that. Actually says, “Boy” just with the o added to it
I know that.
How did the Splicers get to be so messed up?
They were some of the few that were able to see through the simulation. That messes with their minds, damaged them. And that's why there so messed up when we meet them in game
How would you describe the relationship/dynamic between Booker and Elizabeth?
A relationship that the fabricated universe within the simulation is trying everything in its power to stop, but they keep finding a way to make it work
What sort of relationship is it? Parental, romantic, sibling, friendly?
A friendship that's been going on four about 5 years, but has slowly been transforming intro a romantic one
"they said it was impossible to build a city in the south. in truth, it was impossible to build it anywhere else"
if only you knew what kind of relationship elizabeth and booker had
Who is that little girl in the picture?
She is Big Sister. Big Sister was the decent of the high ranking officials of the land society, but was abandoned as a infant. But, she was later brought down to the secret underwater society, and was adopted by a Big Daddy.
Damn, if this was Bioshock 2…
Why are the big daddys called that?
They were created by the original creator of the underwater city as protectors of the city. The reason he called them Big Daddys was because dad's are suppose to protect their children, something his father never did. Also, their pretty big. So he named them Big Daddys
That’s genuinely pretty accurate lol
But why the drill? Odd choice, why not a machine gun?
Because the city is underwater, and bullets arent very effective underwater (i think), and the Big Daddys were made as pretty strong hand-to-hand fighters
Ah okay thank you
As someone who watched at least an hour worth of videos about the big daddies, I can confirm this is completely accurate.
Would you rather have to deal with Ryan, Lamb, or Comstock?
Comstock. He may have more weaponry and tech compared to Ryan or Lamb, but he has the least combat experience, and would be easier to take down
Id rather deal with lamb
Who is Andrew Ryan
The main protagonist of the series. The character that helps the underwater civilization thrive by having a double life on the land civilization and making sure nothing happens to the underwater civilization
That's why there's so many statues of him. 😆
So, why is Ayn Rand such a big figure in Rapture?
Because he is the one who discovered there was a secret society beneath the ocean, and he created Rapture as a organization to try and rid of the Underwater civilization
My man just changed the gender of a dead author.
Shit, your right
Your thoughts on subject delta?
It's an absolute tragedy, it shouldn't have put into motion, and I don't belive the ones responsible will ever be forgiven
Isn’t it awesome when the master chief kills all the little brothers! Makes me want to touch myself.
Wait, what the fuc-
My wife just said exactly the same thing. “What the fu!”
Explain vigors and tonics please!
Vigors are a popular drink originating from the surface civilization, but was adapted to the underwater civilization. And Tonics special potions that help with the underwater residents feel better because they live deep below the ocean surface
That is pretty accurate
What is the plot twist of the game
That the whole world is actually a simulation created by the government to test how a human civilization would survive in a underwater environment. But then, because of computer coding stuff, the simulation became its own little world
Thats similar to the plot twist of the new Prey, ngl.
What’s a splicer?
A member of a cult that has been able to see through the simulation
If we8re talking about Bioshock 2 the first half of that is correct.
What are the big daddy's and little sisters?
What are the plasmids?
Big Sister was the decent of the high ranking officials of the land society, but was abandoned as a infant. But, she was later brought down to the secret underwater society, and was adopted by a Big Daddy. Because *PLOT TWIST!* There is only one Big Sister
And the Plasmids are the names of dangerous sea creatures that lurk on the outskirts of the underwater city
The funny thing is, by the end of the second game there truly really is only one big sister left
Boy, if only I knew what that meant
And you almost got the both answers right, like, you're 20% right.
Describe booker and Elizabeth in three words?
Friendly, abruptly romantic
sweeeet home alabama
Who are the protagonists of the games?
The main protagonist of the seriesis a dude called Andrew Ryan. The character that helps the underwater civilization thrive by having a double life on the land civilization and making sure nothing happens to the underwater civilization
sound like a Ryan supporter😂
what was the *real* nature of the Lutece twins? they were into some weird shit, am I right?
Thr Lutece twins were some of the only people who were able to see throught the simulation, but to everyone else they just sounded crazy. That's why they were outcasts, and everyone thought they were creepy. Also, the reason they did all that really weird shit was because their brains were damaged within the simulation due to being able to see beyond the simulation
that's...actually a little accurate lmao
The Lutece twins were scientists. Rosalind studied quantum physics and managed to figure out how to open portals through space time and found an alternate version of herself (Robert) and both did Quantum expirements together. Very smart, and very comedic
Best part is this explanation is valid. Give it to the players and they’d all nod.
Whats the deal with Mr. House?
Mr. House is from Fallout New Vegas, wrong game
I wanted to see if you would catch it
I am not so easily fooled
There's an achievement in New Vegas inspired by bioshock if you kill Mr. House a certain way
How did big daddies connect to little sisters?
Big Sister was the decent of the high ranking officials of the land society, but was abandoned as a infant. But, she was later brought down to the secret underwater society, and was adopted by a Big Daddy. Because *PLOT TWIST!* there is only one Big Sister
Who is the big man on the cover
A Big Daddy
Why is delta johnny topside?
Because he really hates the underwater civilization so he went above the surface and joined the Rapture, a group dedicated to taking down the underwater civilization
What was the moment that made you realize Booker wasnt a protagonist?
When he slipped up and talked about the super secret thing that only the higher ups news about and nobody else was suppose to know about
This is at least partially true tbh but he was the last to find out and lived about 5 more seconds to even consider it
What do you know about Atlas? Or Fontaine?
Atlas is that one super friendly guy that everyone seems to like for some reason, and Fontaine is a ass hole
I mean... you're not too far off 💀
What's with the vending machines?
That annoying voice lives in my head rent free.
They dispense Tonics due to people underwater getting sick because there deep below sea level
What do you make of that ending? It’s crazy! What does it all mean?
I think it was a masterclass of interactive storytelling, and I'm hoping that they can somehow find a way to save the simulation before it gets destroyed, along with everyone with it
have you played the games before
How many types of big daddies are in bs1?
How old is Jack really?
Somewhere in his late 70s
Who is Ryan, Atlas and Frank?
Ryan is the main protagonist of the series. The character that helps the underwater civilization thrive by having a double life on the land civilization and making sure nothing happens to the underwater civilization
Atlas is that one super nice guy that everyone likes for some reason
And Frank, well... he's, *there*
what about Jack?
Some 70 year old dude who looks really young because if science stuff
What's that quote about a man and a slave?
A man orders, a slave obeys?
I think it was, "Man, do I love slaves!" - Ryan Andrews
A man chooses, a slave obeys. Are you a man or are you a slave?
What's the best big daddy model and why is it Bouncers?
Because the Bouncer Big Daddys are the fucking greatest!
Why does Mr bubbles have to die :(?
Because they damn writers had to make us emotional....
Who is Atlas?
That one super friendly guy that everyone seems to like for some reason
Did Ayn Rand's ideas really work in Rapture? What were the sociological consequences of those ideas being put into policy?
They were good ideas in concept, but executing them were way to impractical. It also made everyone beleive she wasn't suited for the job, and had them hoping she wouldn't do anything rash
What happens when the ploobis and grumbo are shaved away in Bioshock: Delta?
All hope for the future was lost...
What's your favorite plasmid?
Prabobly the blue ones with white stripes. I mean, yeah there the most dangerous, but they look really cool
The ones that reveal the simulation? I would have gone with the purple polkadot ones personally.
I mean, yeah. But you barely ever see them because they swim so far away from underwater city
Yeah but there is that secret place thats full of them!
Right, right. You have a point
What did you think of the book, Bioshock: Rapture?
I liked the writing, but I feel like it didn't really fit into the universe of the games
Yeah too many words, and no cheat codes. I mean, really WTF?!
What’s your opinion of Sander Cohen?
Best character, hands down. I fucking love that guy
Why is Rapture underwater?
(*wait the Rapture is underwater? This is not following the rabbithole of fake lore I've created*)
The underwater city is actually a simulation created by the government to see how a human population would survive in an u dewatering environment. But then because of weird computer stuff, the simulation continously grew until it became its own world
Why would Fontaine go into plastic surgery?
Because he's a peice of shit, and nobody likes him
What is a big daddy?
Ok and how can Columbia fly?
It's simple, it can't
Why have I saw it flying then?
I see. One last question
What real life gun is the rolston reciprocating repeater based on?
The Cowboy Repeater from Fallout New Vegas, because yes
Hey man, what do you think Jasmine Jolene is up to these days?
Prabobly our there dying in the wilderness somewhere, she had what was coming to her
OH, a little cold hearted but ngl I gotta agree lmao! Thanks for this thread bro, I've been laughing the whole way through and I really needed that today. :)
Is it really underwater?
No, it's actually a simulation created by the government to figure out how a human population would live in a underwater environment. But then the land society was created, and then the simulation kinda just kept getting bigger and bigger until it was it's own world within the simulation
Do you take on big daddys in a fair fight or are you one to strike from the shadows?
Fair fight, fisticuffs, one on one, come at me daddy
The big daddy is in the picture
Yes, I'm aware
What will you do if Atlas won’t help you
I'll beat the shit out of daddy, I don't need Atlas' help
what is the deal with Big Sister?
Big Sister was the decent of the high ranking officials of the land society, but was abandoned as a infant. But, she was later brought down to the secret underwater society, and was adopted by a Big Daddy.
And of course, this is all still within the simulation. As it seems to be increasingly growing due to unknown reason
What is the significance of the phrase : would you kindly
It was a phrase used by a poor civilian when speaking with politicians. He then proceeded to kill the politician due to his plan to kick the poor out of the city, and have them banished forever. This then lead the residents to banish all the poor residents anyways, and accomplished nothing. The residents were then adopted into the secret underwater society. And when the underwater society was revealed to the land society, the phrase was then a term for hatred, and shamfulness
Would you kindly play bioshock?
Why is Augustus Sinclair, Esquire, the best character in the series?
What's your opinion on the tears connecting Rapture and Columbia in Burial At Sea?
